Sharks

I have never seen a shark for real. I have seen sharks only in TV documentaries. A common belief surrounding sharks is that they are very aggressive and they attack humans. I think this belief is mainly shaped by Hollywood. Have you seen sharks?

There are some smaller breeds of sharks that are in pet stores, so yep, I've seen them. I've been around stingrays during feeding time and kids get to put their hands in after they're fed and feel their skin. The pet store in one small city near me is huge and has all kinds of critters!

Yes, I've seen sharks in the wild. The closest I've been to a wild shark is one that was brought in on a very small fishing boat. The two had caught a turtle and a shark among other things. They were butchering the shark on the beach and tried to sell me the jaws. I was on a beach in the Yucatan, but I didn't buy the shark jaws, still bloody. I could go back to the resort and buy them there and they were clean and dry at the hotel gift store.
