The floors can get dirty!! When my daughter brings her bulldog for a visit, my kitchen floors are absolutely filthy and I have to mop.

You have to find a pet sitter to watch them if you ever go on vacation. Otherwise, you can't go on vacation.....not without coming back to a complete mess.

One of the major disadvantages of having pets is the cost associated with raising pets. The second major disadvantage is you will have to clean pet hairs and pet letters frequently. I don't see a lot of people talking about these disadvantages.

Personally, the greatest downside of having pets is saying goodbye.
