As far as I know, unless someone was to somehow get hold of a snake and get it into the country without being caught and it was venomous then I do not believe that we have any in the country I live.

I do know two doors down from where I live there is a couple and they have a lot of animals and one of them is a snake, it's not venomous though and they have it as a pet.

Vermont has three species of venomous snakes: the timber rattlesnake, copperhead snake, and northern water moccasin.

I think there are 3 or 4 different kinds where I live, but they're pretty rare. I still am on the lookout when I go out hiking though. Right now, when the sun is out, because of the cooler temps, you'll have snakes out sunning themselves on the trails. We saw a couple when we went out to a local attraction and I warned a couple of people. They were grateful because they were afraid of snakes. I don't mind them.

Definitely the Eastern Massasauga but we also have rattlesnakes, copperheads and cottonmouths, but they are rare.
